Cinemagraphs Breathe New Life into Animated GIFs

A cinemagraph is a blend of still image and video, usually a photograph with a minor, repeated movement allowing a glimpse of time.
The technique was introduced by New York fashion photographer Jamie Beck and motion graphics designer Kevin Burg in early 2011. Since then, it has been used by other designers and some brands like Coca-Cola for advertisement. Cinemagraphs are often created as animated GIFs, easy to use on a web page.
