Perseids Against the Milky Way

The Perseid meteor shower peaked over the past few days. It is called Perseids because all meteors appear to come from a single point (radiant) in the constellation of Perseus. Early reports about this year's event indicate that as many as 100 meteors per hour were visible from some dark locations during the peak. The image below is a composition of several photos taken near Weikersheim, Germany.
