The concept Jaguar C-X75 is a rare breed. It makes 500bhp from a 1.6 liters supercharged turbo engine, performance similar to the 1980's Formula 1 engines.
It's four-wheel-drive, with the rear wheels driven by that engine, plus an electric motor, both channelled through a lightweight gear box. The front wheels have their own single-speed electric drive. The total power of all electric motors is around 400bhp. That's in addition to the gasoline engine. It is also a plug-in hybrid, with a range of 60 km on a single charge.
Production is scheduled for 2014.
